did you try rooting it then flashing a different radio (e.g a WWE one)?

Just bought my HTC from the airport (Stars communications). Not interested in driving to bir el abed or getting it from an unknown small shop. I paid 660$ They gave me a one year shop guarantee, and i didnt pay vat, so it was not a bad deal- all prices posted on this site are excluding vat.
This little machine is a gem. cant stop fiddling with it. I Want to listen to internet radio on it. what must i do? also what is the best way to update to android2.2?
also is there a way to import my old sms from the previous windows mobile phone? or do they die with the previous phone?

there must be an app that let you import your sms from windows phone. I managed to import mine from iphone to android (only loosing the arabic sms since they didn't converted right)

No, on the contrary you can gain more stuff :)
But you must use a rooted stock HTC rom. Many roms are available @ Xda

@adel I have a friend who owns a sever for unlocked codes for everything, Blackberries, Nokia, HTCs, you name it. I'll ask him. He is in Belize you might have to pay online. He's legit.

after all the searching i did i finally know now that the only way to unlock the htc desire locked to orange romania is by a jtag box
