Given that lebanon has a huge shortage with tech stuff, I have to order some stuff off the internet, items that i may need range from $5 to $500, so my question is, how does the whole process work? lets say u order stuff of ebay or amazon, how much more money will it cost me?, how much will it take to reach me?, does it get delivered to my house directly or should i go to the port?

it depends, are you planning on buying pc's cellphones or stuff alike (well you seem like you do) then that way wont work for you. Amazon has a restriction on shipping tech stuff outside USA, you need to send them to some PO box or someone you know there so that he could send it to you via DHL or FEDEX, they will handle the delivery and take it right where you want them to.

You could call Aramex and register a PO Box in the USA with your name. Costs $35 to register I think. Then you order stuff and tell Amazon to ship it to the PO Box you just registered (Aramex will give you the address of course) and then Aramex will ship the stuff to you (takes 1 - 1.5 weeks). Note that you pay $10.2 for the first 1/2 kg then an additional $8.5 for every additional 1/2 kg. You also pay customs (jumrok). Usually 20000 LL for reasonably priced items (up to $100 lets say) but be sure to check on Aramex's prices and Customs prices. The latter is prone to fluctuate greatly based on the value of the items. Customs may estimate the cost of an item if it includes no receipt. Amazon includes receipts. Aramex decides the type of items ordered. Books have no customs imposed on them. You still pay for weight though.
