Have you installed Android on your HD2 ? if so you should have read before that the Android is just emulated and still in th alpha stage..
i know man but the others don't need to know all i'm asking if someone knows any apn settings for alfa wap on the android the good news i can still boot windows and use the wap service :D

ps: in reality i've opened this thread to get your attention i think only you can solve this problem :)

i wish that it works that way :D , alfa wap doesn't work on both android and iphone but there's a guy named zuz or whatever patched the iphone configuration file to make it work :) but not for the android it needs some kind of modification i guess i will see what i can do

call 111 and ask them i think its working on x10

upgrade your line to mobile internet from alfa 10$ /month with 50 mb (+ you get the wap 20 mb with it).. solved.. i did that for my iphone and HTC desire (android)
edit:but i think your line should be fixed not prepaid :(

the internet/edge service requires a fixed line from alfa and costs for 10 $ (50MB) or more , while the wap service doesn't require a fixed line and costs only for 3 $ (20MB) of course per month
so for me i go for the wap cheap and i have the requirements

I think it's faster, but Kareem is better placed to judge that. Furthermore, if I'm not mistaken, Alfa blocks certain ports (e.g., SMTP) on their WAP service.

I can see speed difference between WAP and GPRS (Edge) on my MTC Touch line.

The most important part of your fix is missing...there are no ''Manual'' in UAstrings just Android/Iphone/Desktop.
What's your device? Are you running a custom ROM?

updated first post with screen shots , @vegetaleb as i said im using htc desire rom on my htc hd2 (2.2 froyo with sense) of course its a custom made rom to make it work on my htc hd2 you can try installing free-private-browser from android market it should let you edit your uastring manually

Offtopic subject: I see you have a HTC Desire rom ( i have a HTC Desire myself) ..i recommend you to download the arabization files (fonts) + ardoid program from the market so at least you can read and write Arabic (but the program is not free)

it works great on 2.1 and good on 2.2 (but there are some bugs in 2.2 with some sms that have both Arabic and Latin characters since the alignment will be wrong. also when typing the alignment is wrong )

Also i noticed that EDGE is faster than wap here in Lebanon :p

It seems the Desire and Nexus One are limited to ''Android/Desktop/Iphone'' choice :(
Nothing is giving the possibility of UserAgent.
Perhaps the people who cooked the Desire Froyo to HD2 kept the network advantages of the HD2...
