Sex alone cannot be satisfying, no matter how good it is. To be satisfied, you have to have other things in life. But if you have all of this then I guess you are satisfied. I don't know if that's what you were saying?

Again... argh... you are forcing me to go into details... let's just say you can't know if a woman has an orgasm just by looking at her across the table (although even then, if you have a good intuition, you should be able to tell). But it's not this situation we are talking about... are we? :-)
Also note that in sexual literature people come up with different sorts of orgasms (and it's disputed), but I'm staying away from that debate. I'm not a woman to start with.

To prove that sex involve everything in life, Spring is known to be a mating period for humans WHY? well notice mature sudden behavior during that period they go all nuts and start making more pranks on teachers.
actually my Sociology teacher told us this in class but no one believed him until spring and summer came we really noticed the difference.

ok I'm going to explain Freud's theory in the simplest way I could. Freud says that an adult's personality is shaped by a fundamental conflict between a person's desire to gratify his or her physical needs and the necessity to function as a responsible member of society. His principles included:
- The ID which is entirely oriented towards immediate gratification, operates on the pleasure principle (behavior guided by the primary desire to maximize pleasure and avoid pain). The is selfish and illogical, it acts without regard to consequences.
- The superego which is the counter weight of to the id, is a person's conscience. It internalizes society's rules and works to prevent the id from seeking selfish gratification.
- The ego which is the system that mediates between the id and the superego, tries to balance these two opposing forces according to the reality principle, whereby it finds ways to gratify the id that will be acceptable to the outside world. Much of this battle occurs in the unconscious mind.

Now, if we're going to depend on Freud's theory to explain differences in human behavior, we could safely say that in Western societies the ID is dominant while in our society (Eastern) the superego is dominant. I will not get into deeper details concerning Freud's theory as I do not necessarily agree with everything he says (I do agree with what I've mentioned above). But he actually goes to the extent of saying that everything we do stems from a basic intrinsic sexual need/desire. He goes as far as saying that the newborn's act of breast feeding is actually a kind of sexual expression. The way I see it, that's bullshit. I do believe though that sex is one of the most dominant (if not the most) human needs.

P.S: The same concept can be found in the heavenly religions but I won't get into details of that. The point is simply: animals are made up of physical needs only, while angels are made up of spiritual needs only. Humans are a mix-up of both, but those who prevent their physical needs from dominating their behavior usually go to heaven, while on the other hand, those who let their physical/animalistic needs dominate their behavior are sent to hell.

I really donno what this has to do with the issue we're talking about but I cannot tolerate claims that do not have credible material to back it up. Hence I asked for his sources :)

I noticed that Kassem took the same approach we study in school during philosophy class in grade 12.
About the orgasm thingy my sociology teacher told us in school about it (the girls presence), think about the guys in Saudi Arabia because they are more known for such....actions toward women.

What i am trying to say from this whole thread is that sex isn't a mere think we take for granted like everyone does, no it should be clarified in schools and students must be guided by giving them books to read of course depending on the religion because some translated books are like playboy.

Is anyone supporting Sigmund Frued's Theory? Anyone claiming otherwise? Or do you guys really just to say sex, orgasm, women, playboy, ... for no apparent reason.

@ arithma, in some other thread, kareem_nasser said he's a supporter of Freud's theory. I did not want to go off topic on that thread, hence I opened this one. I stated Freud's theory and then mentioned that I do support his theory but definitely not to the extremes.

To be honest kareem, your posts are not coherent and much of what you're saying doesn't make sense. Try to provide credible resources/explanations to your claims. I know someone has already asked, but how do fake orgasms relate to the subject?

Do you mean that Arab guys do not know what they're doing while having sex?

You should read books instead of me giving you links. Start with religious books then translated and at last go to Freud's. Here we are talking about Sociology not Math so it is like philosophy i could be right or wrong and you can only say if you agree or not.

No i didn't mean that, as i said before eating=sex so sexual development is from the beginning and like eating it needs rules or limits otherwise we will become animals. We all know how to do it but the only difference is that there is the better and the best not the first and last and armed with knowledge from books you'll be more confident -as a sexually suppressed person for years- of doing better and with time you'll get used to it and do it perfectly.

and we're not even the only ones who have sex for purposes other than reproduction (pleasure, prostitution, ...)
Other animals can have very similar sexual lifes to ours, like monogamy, homosexuality, prostitution, sex for pleasure, masturbation, ... with all the "rules or limits" we have, and they don't need to read books to have this behavior and whatever rules or limits we're supposed to learn not to become animals.

I agree that it should be taught in schools, but for reasons very different than not becoming animals, it's more for maturity, knowing your body, your rights, protections, risks, ...

I'm sorry but that's what we, humans, like to believe so that we can feel superior and distinguish ourselves from other animals.
But whatever we chose to believe in, the facts are the facts and no belief will change them: we're animals too, and some other animals live in structured and developed societies too, with rules, hierarchy, roles, ...
