IT HAS BEGUN !
- Still same old 256kb/s with Ogero though - that being said whilst checking my modem status im ALWAYS getting the full 256 download stream - as apposed to the 222 or 220 i was getting from before.
Seems all private ISP have already started or at least testing something
@StunMan: 2GB taking only 50 minutes - i are Jelly.
Also as for the previous posts im quite satisfied - you are attaining the FULL 4mb/s (and more) download stream - i was worried it would be utmost 3.5 but whatever it is it seems to be theoretically quite stable.

@ali_m3
As I know, Ogero isn't flexible as ISPs, If there is to be any change in the plans(speeds/prices/quotas) they ALWAYS change/show it every 1st of the month.. so this is why we(I'm also an Ogero user.. since 2007) haven't seen any increase yet... so yea, if all goes well, September 30 11:59PM will be a magical moment

looking forward for that then :)
It was 128 kbps and now it became 1 Mbps :)) (although it shows 2 Mbps on speedtest)
I downloaded 2 songs and 1 program to test, the download speeds were between 80 and 150 kBps

That was my illegal cable guy's ISP. It is a Russian Satellite based internet service i think Denys knows more.
Have a 256 Terranet connection.
Downloading today at 103KB/s
guess i've been upgraded to 1mbps
Terranet 512. It seems there are no improvements for now.
@samer, the improvement till now is that you got the 512 speed !
@samer, can you check the line rate in your modem's summary? Mine says:
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 1023
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 2048
But of course those speeds are not enabled yet; guess next month they will be.
@MrClass, your ISP?
My ISP is Terranet
Explain to me... This is illegal right?
@ elchebib and Monkey D. Luffy, are you shitting me?

I'm not sure why you guys are posting speed test results from institutions that already had high speed connections. The idea of the topic is to observe the (hopefully) increasing speeds of internet connections we use daily. If you are getting better speeds at your universities/companies, do mention it!

That's the point Samer; last year I used to get like my usual speed at home now it's completely on w whole other level!
I downloaded in an hour for 1.6GB
(App store downloads, update for my PC, videos etc...)
Guys, these universities have dedicated Internet connections. AUB is an ISP as well, it even hosts the LB DNS servers in Lebanon. No wonder they need such a high speed connection
For some reason SpeedTest.net is bugging out and not showing the results in the badge (they are posted at the top.)
Is this relevant at all?
EDIT: Even your badges are now showing up as blank, so I guess it's a temporary bug with the site.

Same here Bassem, I am seeing blank speedtest result badges.
Same here.
