I don't really like how the lebgeeks bookmark doesn't have an icon on the chrome (or other browser) bookmarks bar, can it be fixed ?
And is there a way to add one on our own ?

This topic has already been discussed before. I cannot remember what the outcome of the discussion was, but you can use the Search Feature and read the relevant topics :)

Matter has already been mentioned. We will look into it when possible.

For the curious: Last time the subject was brought up we were having difficulties with creating a "smooth" favicon. When reduced image would become too pixelized.

I'm leaving this thread open so that if any graphic designer/artist passes, he or she could help us by posting their ideas.

I think the idea is good, but it better use the colors and fonts of the logo (red arrows, black text on white background).
BTW you need to remove the dot off the end of your link. When clicked it returns a 404 error.

I think any favicon is better than a blank one. We should adopt one then iteratively enhance it rather than opt out till we have our freaken satisfy all icon. Just my 2 cents.

Why am I seeing a new favicon that has only LG in white, and black background. It isn't any special. But still better than nothing.

It's aliased. Not clean. Plus it's at a high contrast with the rest of the site. You can't just come in declaring swiss style when everything else is not.

I agree, but building on your previous statement it's better than nothing. There's always room for improvement :)

I actually do like it and it looks cool in the browser. It's more bold than google's and wiki's. I think a pixel artist would help in this situation. Anyway, it's better than nothing, and it probably sets out a direction for the whole website :P

When i first opened the site and saw the favicon i thought it was some kind of a non-lebanese forum. Great job guys i really liked it, but you may have to deal with LG Corporation for using the same name :P.

Wow that was fast. It's cool in itself, but I think it is not consistent with the old style of the forum. Still pretty cool, and consistent with the minimalistic philosophy of the website nevertheless.
But guys, it does look like LG (the electronics brand) at first glance...
And BTW about putting the geek head in the icon, what about having it in B/W? I dont like the pink hair too much.

Anyway I really came to like the new icon. Bold and clear. But how about having the letters in the lebgeeks light yellow - the one in the post background - or maybe orange so as to have a stronger link with the style of the site?

I hate it, sorry. I'd rather we go with something generic if we don't find something suitable .
