PC MW2 [Online MP with a pirated copy]
I'm not sure if you guys knew about this already
but I've recently came to know that there is a way to play MW2 online for the PC with a cracked copy so I thought of sharing it with my beloved Leb Geeks
The crack / workaround Is simply lets you connect to an alternative server other than IW
I'm not gonna waste much of your precious time reading my post so go ahead & check this website for all the details.

great thread! thanks for the sharing (twice)! i've tried many cracks and created steam accounts with no success. hope this one works!
PS: what about LAN?

All:
7) Open alterIWnet.ini in MW2 Folder
and change IP to the hosts one (e.g. 192.168.1.3)
If you want to change you're ingame nick,
just type it after the nickname=
8)start iwnetserver.exe and then Start iw4mp.exe
9) Click Play
Host:
10) Press ALT+ENTER to window MW2
11) Press ALT+TAB and open the console
12) Use command:
party_hostmigration 0; party_connecttimeout 1; badhost_endgameifisuck 0
13) Click into MW2 Window
All:
14) Find games
15) Choose the gametype you want to play
NOTE: On every PC you have to search for the same!
16) Now you get in the lobby,
if everybody's in:
Host:
17) Press ALT+TAB and open the console
18) Use command:
party_minplayers "X"
(X=Number of players)
iwnetserver.exe
enjoy :)

alterIW is very sucky for many reasons
... first off the lags, there is a noticeable difference in lags if you compare it to Mw2 on XBL or PSN for example, and when i mean noticeable i really do mean it.
Second of all is the damn hosts. They see your doing quite well and some just kick you, and they bullshit about saying errr your not allowed to use this and that etc
also it can take quite some time to find a game, plus people only play TDM, and if you are finally able to get into a domination, demolition etc nobody really plays by objective. So yeah sucks.
But its a nice cheap way to have the game, with all the maps, and online capability.
But then again you cnt really complain if something is for free, so yeah this is a good option for those who prefer PC gaming.
@Aj_BlaZ: Quick question, you have any idea how i can connect to a friend, it never works for me. Plus is that the wat to do to force host ?
